ACAP VOLUNTEERING

SONIA Online is the Student Placement Management System for ACAP Discipline of Counselling students.

All volunteering information and documentation can be found in Sonia.

 

Log in above with the following details:

Username: Student number

Password: Same as Student Portal 

Note: Ensure you log into ‘ACAP Volunteering’ not ‘ACAP Counselling’ 

Please ensure you regularly check your ACAP email account, as the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Team will only communicate with you via this email:


How to Access your ACAP Student Email

Pre-volunteering instructions and information:

Important: Volunteering must be approved by ACAP before commencement.

·         Once logged in, click on the 'Volunteering Instructions' tab in the menu bar above, then the red 'Details' button.

·         Read through the volunteering requirements and the step-by-step instructions provided.

·         Upload your Police Check in the ‘Documents’ tab above.

·         Search for and secure your volunteering opportunity.

·         Once you have secured an opportunity, complete ‘Section A’ of the ‘Volunteering Confirmation & Completion’ form found in the ‘Forms’ tab above.

 

On-volunteering instructions and information:

Do not commence volunteering before you receive a Confirmation of Volunteering email from ACAP.

·         Log your volunteering hours in the Timesheet provided in the ‘Volunteering Instructions’ tab above

·         Full details and instructions are provided in the ‘Volunteering Instructions’ tab above.


Completion of volunteering instructions:

·         Upload your signed Timesheets into the ‘Documents’ tab above

·         Complete Section B of the ‘Volunteering Confirmation & Completion’ form found in the ‘Forms’ tab above

·         Full details and instructions are provided in the ‘Volunteering Instructions’ tab above.

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure all forms are submitted on time. Read and follow all instructions and steps carefully to avoid unnecessary delays later.
